The Selbach Environmental Foundation was founded by brother-and-sister partnership Erika Littmann and Karl Heinrich Selbach. Together they also form the foundation's Managing Executive Board:

 

 

 

RA Karl Heinrich Selbach

 

Born in 1938 in Krefeld, son of Erich and Ursula Selbach (née von Beckerath) and brother of Erika Littmann. He studied law at Tübingen, Munich, Aix-en-Provence and Berlin universities, and began practising law in Munich upon completion of the second legal state examination in 1968, specialising in residential property and administrative law. His other areas of interest are ancient history and archaeology, and he is a member of the executive board for the DANA society for the promotion of Tibetan culture.

 

 

 

 

 

Erika Littmann, M.A.

 

Born in 1950 in Lobberich, daughter of Erich and Ursula Selbach (née von Beckerath) and sister of Karl Heinrich Selbach. She studied political economics at the University of Cologne (graduate degree) before becoming a teacher at a business school and working in event and seminar management and art dealership. She lived for 12 years in San Francisco where she trained to become a breath therapist, and studied psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (MA degree) where she shifted her focus towards eco-psychology and deep ecology.
